Harlan Independent School District is now accepting enrollment of new students for the 2024-2025 school year from non-resident students and incoming Kindergarten students.

You are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Student capacity at each grade level may be limited by the student capacity in each building. Priority registration is open until June 30th, 2024. Students who meet enrollment criteria and register before the deadline will be guaranteed a spot for enrollment. Don't miss your chance to join the "Family of Dragons".

As a result of HB 563, Effective July 1st, 2022 students in Kentucky are permitted to attend the school district of their choice regardless of where they live.

This OPEN ENROLLMENT change will allow Harlan Independent School District eliminate the previously required tuition charge to attend Harlan Elementary, Harlan Middle, and Harlan High School.

With the new year, 2024-2025, there will be no tuition fees.
